Bat Your Lashes for Blinc ! My Review !

I am always on the hunt for the newest mascaras that claim to lengthen, volumize, and make my lashes drop dead gorgeous. So when I received my latest Birchbox in the mail with blinc Inc mascara, I was very curious. This is not a normal mascara. From the website it states:

"blinc is the original mascara invented to form tiny water-resistant "tubes" around your lashes rather than painting them like conventional mascaras. Once applied, these beauty tubes bind to your lashes and cannot run, smudge, clump, or flake, even if you cry or rub your eyes...blinc mascara will add volume and length to give you a radiant natural look that lasts all day."

This idea is pretty much amazing and I have never heard of this concept before. I had to try it out! I followed the instructions very carefully and curled my lashes before the application using a regular eyelash curler and my favorite heated one. It also says not to moisturize your face or eyelashes or the product will not adhere properly. With wand in hand, I applied one coat on both eyes while wiggling back forth, root to tip and did a second coat while still moist. During this process, I noticed my eyelashes with the beautiful curl they had, fell flat...literally. No curl in sight! Straight as a toothpick! I usually get a pretty good curl with my regular mascara (Avon Supershock) so I was very surprised. I do love the way it seperates my lashes and I have been rubbing them like crazy and there is NO fall out! You do need to remember to use warm to hot water when removing it off your eyelashes and little tubes of the product will fall into your sink. Overall, I do like the mascara but don't love it. If it held the curl, it would have been my favorite!
xoxo
