Everyone is busy these days. We have places to go, things to do, shoes to buy and all of these errands can be chaotic if not managed probably. I recently had to get my hectic life in order and here are some tips on how I stay organized:
1) Make A Schedule!
Someone once said to me "Plan your work, then work your plan" and I have tried to live by that every sense. I use a dry erase board that lists every day of that week and put my activities on it, whether it's to do laundry that day or a film a Youtube video. I find this to be more effective then using a calender on your phone because you can see it laid out in front of you, urging you to follow the course you have written for yourself.
2) LISTS!
Get the Wunderlist app if you have not already for Iphone (not sure if they have an android version). This will help you keep lists of anything you need a list about. Job tasks, shopping items, goals you want to pursue etc. This mentality of always keeping a list makes sure that you never forget anything. The only thing to remember is to put it on the list!
3) "Touch It Once" Policy
When coming home or at work, use this policy. It's simple yet effective. When handed a document, that becomes your first touch. Decided what to do with it or put it where it goes. We have the tendency to put it off and place it on top of something on our desk to get done later but with this policy, it gets done right away and put properly away. The same applies with our home. We take off our jacket on the couch, our shoes over by the door, our purse on the table and now you have a mess. Touch everything once, hang your jacket up, shoes on the shoe rack, purse in your bedroom and BAM, clean and organized house.
Hope this helps!
