How To... Dress For A Summer Wedding !

Although you might not be aware of it, finding a great dress to wear to a summer, outdoor wedding can be a challenge. Here are some tips to make sure your outfit meets the standards:
1) Summer colors are okay to wear as long as they do not overshadow the Bride or her Bridesmaids. A color-blocking neon pink and orange dress might not fit this occasion, whereas a tan dress with a pop of neon can. You want to stand out but not in a bad way.
2) Don't wear white or cream or the same color as the Bridemaid's dresses. It's just tacky and breaks the rules of wedding etiquette.
3) Whatever dress you wear, make sure it's comfortable. This doesn't mean you have to wear a muumuu. Find a dress that gives you shape but that's not so form-fitting. You will be sitting in the sun and dancing around and sweat stains on a tight, bandage dress don't look good.
4) Most importantly, BE MODEST. You don't want to be the girl at the wedding that everyone refers to as the "skanky one" in all of the pictures. The dress length should be to or below your knees and the neckline should be tasteful.

Remember, your dress should compliment the wedding. Ciao! xoxo
