Doing your nails at home can be a great alternative to getting them done at the salon but can also turn out to be a nightmare if applied incorrectly! Here are some steps to follow to achieve a glue-on manicure to die for:
1) Take off any polish that you have on your nails
2) Push back your cuticles so the fake nails will easy set on your natural nail
3) Gently run a nail file across your nails for better adhesion
4) Size fake nails on your natural nails and place them in the order on how you want to apply them (I do pinkies first, then ring fingers etc. I find that if I do one hand first then try to do the next, it's harder to apply nails to that hand).
5) Place glue on fake nail and evenly spread using the nozzle on the glue
6) Adhere fake nail to your natural nail by gently pressing nail down (Make sure not to get so close to your cuticles that the glue grabs on to them! This will cause pain and bleeding in some cases! I know from experience!).
7) Repeat steps to other nails until all nails are covered and fabulous!
8) Let your fingers relax for an hour or so, so the glue can dry completely (We don't want any nails ripping off!).
Now removing fake nails is whole other story! Using a nail polisher remover, fill the cap of the bottle with the remover and dip your finger into it. Leave it for about 30s or more depending on if the fake nail starts to soften. The nail should be easy to remove! Repeat to each finger until all are off.
Have fun experimenting with gorgeous nails!
