Nothing is better in the Winter than warm, gooey cookies and a tall glass of milk. In fact, it's a stormy day outside and I'm eating this AMAZING cookie as I type. I'm definitely not a baker and need recipes to be as simple as possible and this one does not disappoint. I wish I had come up with this recipe myself, but all the credit goes to Chew Out Loud and I am ever so thankful this was created. The best thing about this recipe is that there is NO FLOUR and the texture is on point. Here is the step-by-step recipe that will knock your socks off:
Quantity: 1 Dozen
Original Recipe: Chew Out Loud

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • ½ cup granulated sugar, plus more for garnish
  • ½ cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • ¼ tsp table salt
  • ½ tsp pure vanilla extract
  • Hershey's Kisses

Directions:
  1. In a bowl, combine all ingredients except for the Kisses. Stir to combine well. Press dough together into a ball, wrap tightly, and chill in fridge 30 minutes to 1 hour.
  2. Preheat oven to 350F, with rack on lower middle. Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Roll each ball in granulated sugar to coat. Place on parchment-lined cookie sheet. Lightly depress each dough ball (they won't spread much in the oven.)
  4. Bake 7 minutes or until lightly golden but still very soft. Do not overbake. Once removed from oven, gently press a Kiss into the center of each cookie. Cool about a minute on cookie sheet, and then transfer to wire rack to finish cooling.
  5. *Keep cookies in airtight container at room temp to preserve softness.

The rain is pouring and the winter blues are setting in but, my obsession with gold is in full force. Here is a sneak peek of my metallic obsessions with baby reviews on the side.

1) Asus X205TA 11.6 Laptop
I'm an Apple girl all the way but, I'm not about breaking the bank. When I saw this champagne beauty on Amazon I jumped at the opportunity to have a simple laptop that is extremely lightweight and easy to use. Let's face it, the real reason I bought this is because it's metallic glory!

2) Case-mate iPhone 6s Karat Gold
Wow. This beauty was calling my name! This phone case has real gold embedded in the clear case. REAL GOLD. It's not a gimmick but is actually durable and sturdy. For all the rose gold and silver lovers out there, they have one for you as well., Although, gold is still number 1 in my book.

3) Day Designer by Whitney English from Blue Sky
Stationary is one of my great loves and this planner does not disappoint. This affordable planner is the Target edition and is perfect for gifting to that one friend who always flakes. My life revolves around this pretty little thing and I plan on purchasing another when the year is up...only if it's gold of course.

4) Kate Spade charm bracelet
My wrist was feeling a tad bare until this bracelet strolled into my life. My bestie sure knows the way to my heart with this classic, timeless bracelet that I can't stop wearing. It's fun to continue adding charms cater to your interests. Just don't weigh your wrist down.

These were just a few pieces in my gold obsessed collection. I hope I inspired you to be as passionate as I am when it comes to seeking out your favorite color. Next on the agenda: MINT!
